About This Dog for Adoption
Onyx's ideal home
Onyx is a lively and spirited young dog who would absolutely thrive in an active home where she can enjoy plenty of mental and physical stimulation. Whether it’s playtime in the garden, fun training sessions, or exciting walks, Onyx is always ready for action!
She’s full of enthusiasm and may jump up when excited, so she’d do best in a home with secondary school-aged children. That said, confident and dog-savvy older primary school children could also be a great match.
A secure, private garden would be ideal for Onyx to play, explore, and continue her training. She’s eager to learn and would benefit from a home committed to her ongoing training—especially with her manners, lead walking, and building confidence when left alone.
Onyx could happily share her home with another playful and energetic dog. She enjoys boisterous play and would love a companion who can match her zest for life!
Could you be Onyx's perfect match?
Onyx is a one-year-old crossbreed with a zest for life and a heart full of love. Still in her adolescent stage, she’s bursting with energy and has a wonderfully playful nature.
Onyx came to us from another rescue after her previous family found it challenging to meet her needs—but she’s now ready to find a home that truly matches her vibrant spirit!
This affectionate girl adores human company and is especially fond of toys—balls are her absolute favourite! She’s lively and enthusiastic, and while she can get a little overexcited and jumpy at times, she also has lovely moments of calm and focus.
Onyx is food-motivated, enjoys enrichment activities, and responds well to training. She already knows her basic commands and is housetrained.
Onyx is still learning to feel comfortable when left alone, so she’ll need a home where someone is around most of the time, especially during her settling-in period. With patience and gradual training, she’ll gain the confidence she needs.
She’s also a great travel buddy—curious and confident when hopping into the car, and calm during journeys.
