About This Dog
Male Dobermann Mix (Unknown other breed) named Kobe. Born 11/7/24Collection only.
This is not a scam. You will collect him from my home and you'll know where I live, so it's not in my interests to lie.
Comes with
- Vet card listing vaccinations
- Cage (which he is used to) with Dog mattress
- 40 pack of tinned wet food
- Dry dog biscuits (15kg bag, opened but almost full)
- various dog bowls for food and water
- Harness, collar & retractable leash,
- miscellaneous products eg. Shampoo, nail trimmers, water bottle
- various dog treats (opened)
I recently purchased him myself but previous owner failed to mention some issues, then blocked me a day later. This has left me with a dog I cannot manage and he does not deserve this.
Dobamanns in general are highly active and don't tend to calm down until around the age of 2. I'm certain the negatives will stop or reduce significantly if you give him enough exercise.
I'll list potential negatives first, as he needs a proper home and misleading you will just cause him further suffering and I won't be taking him back if you have issues. Positives (which are plenty!) come after.
He requires a lot of attention, needing constant play and exercise (regular walks are NOT enough) .. if you cannot give him this, you will have problems (whining, restlessness, unwanted behaviour such as scratching at your legs for attention)
He is not neutered as far as I'm aware so can be hump happy and grips tightly which can be painful. You should definitely consider getting him neutered. Though this may be because he's understimulated.
He, like all dobamanns, is clingy (they're known as Velcro dogs)
Now on to the positives..
- He is incredibly friendly with adults, family or outside of the family
- He is very trusting and is quick to form a strong bond
- He gets on very well with kids
- He gets on well with other dogs (though untested with other males, I heard it can be an issue with unneutered males, so I think that's worth mentioning)
- He has grown up, since a pup, with kids and cats in the household
- He is not aggressive in any single way
- He knows the commands Sit, down, paw and other paw
- Is a pleasure to walk, very little pulling, does not suddenly pull when seeing other dogs/people/cats but is of course curious
- He is confident around others. He is not shy nor timid.
[Bear in mind I've not had him long so I cannot know everything about him but I've listed everything I've seen of him]
[I can provide further photos or even video call if you wish]
*No returns. He is not suitable to be back with me*
