About This Dog for Adoption
Kane's ideal home
Gentle giant Kane is a 1 and a half year old Dobermann cross who is an affectionate boy once he gets to know you. He likes to approach for fusses and reassurance on his terms, and will then wander off when he has had enough. He is just starting to play with toys, teddies are currently his favourite, he will pick them up and wander around with them, he is a little worried by squeaky toys and will back away from them. He is a bit of a shadow, so will wander around after you to see what you are up to. This handsome boy is ready to find his new family, could it be you?
Could you be Kane's perfect match?
Kane is looking for a calm and quiet home with adopters who can take him on sniffy adventures, who will take the time to help him settle in and give him all the love and attention he deserves. He is sweet boy, but is a little noise sensitive, so is looking to live with older primary school children who are calm and will play nicely with him and will give him space to rest peacefully when needed. Kane could live an established, confident and calm dog who will happily co-exist and engage in occasional play, this will be pending successful meetings at the centre, although he would benefit from living with another dog, it is not a necessity, he would be happy with polite and friendly walking buddies. Kane has a little training under his belt, he is willing to engage in training as long as he feels comfortable and safe with the help of a tasty treat and lots of praise. He is looking for a home with a private, secure garden with 6ft fencing for him to potter about and explore in at his leisure. Kane can settle nicely so could be left for up to 1-2 hours, this would need to be built up slowly once he has had time to settle into his new home. Kane will need to meet his adopters a few times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet him within 48hrs of being shortlisted.
