About This Dog for Adoption

Astrid's ideal home

Meet Astrid, our sweet little girl with a big heart and a gentle soul. At just 7 months old, she’s already faced a tough start in life and missed out on many of the typical puppy experiences. Now, she’s looking for a patient and understanding family to help her catch up and discover the world at her own pace.

Astrid will need support learning the basics like walking on a lead, housetraining, and being comfortable when left home alone. A secure garden is essential for her, as she’s not quite ready for walks just yet and needs a safe space to explore freely without pressure.

She could live with children aged 8 and up, provided they understand her sensitive nature and can give her the time and space she needs to grow in confidence. Despite her initial worries, Astrid is full of personality and absolutely adores playtime! She can often be found zooming around the compounds, proudly collecting her favourite toys especially soft ones although balls, squeaky and rubber toys are all part of her growing collection.

We’re still getting to know how Astrid feels about other dogs, so for now, she’ll need to be the only dog in the home. This may change as we continue to learn more about her.

Could you be Astrid's perfect match?

Astrid is an absolute delight, full of potential, charm, and just the right amount of cheekiness. We know she’ll bring love, laughter, and a touch of mischief to the lucky family who opens their heart and home to her. We can’t wait to see her flourish into the confident and happy companion she’s meant to be. Sadly, Astrid has had their ears cropped. This is illegal in the UK, and we absolutely do not condone it. We hope we can find Astrid a loving home.

Doberman Puppy Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Doberman.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Doberman Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
