About This Dog for Adoption

Ghost's ideal home

Ghost is looking for a home where he will have the company of another friendly, confident dog. A canine companion will help guide him through his puppy stages and give him a great outlet for his playful energy. As a typical excitable pup, Ghost would be best suited to a home with secondary school-aged children or older, who can confidently interact with an energetic young dog. He’s playful and enthusiastic, so a family who enjoys keeping active will be a perfect match. Ghost has coped well being left on his own for short periods so with gradual training, he could be left alone for a couple of hours. True to his breed, he's clever and full of energy and will thrive in a home that can offer him continued training, structure, and lots of positive reinforcement.

Could you be Ghost's perfect match?

Ghost is a 11 month old Dobermann pup who is looking for a breed experienced home. He is a young lively boy who is exploring the world through one eye. Having had surgery to remove his eye recently, means he can be weary in new spaces or in dark environments. We are happy to discuss his vet history with any potential adopters. He enjoys being around people and once he knows you, he won't be far away.

Doberman Puppy Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Doberman.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Doberman Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
