About This Dog for Adoption
Talen's ideal home
Talen will thrive in a moderately active to active home where he can be fully involved in daily life. He loves company, enjoys staying busy, and is happiest in a home with plenty going on rather than a quiet or sedentary environment.
He would be best suited to a family with children aged 12 and over. Due to his large size, enthusiasm, and boisterous nature, calmer, dog‑aware older children are recommended so everyone can enjoy positive interactions.
Talen is looking for an active, committed family who enjoys training, enrichment, and regular exercise. As a very people‑focused dog, he would benefit from limited leaving hours and will do best in a home where he can be included in activities. A secure garden and ongoing mental stimulation will help him settle and succeed.
Talen has previously lived happily with other dogs and may be able to share his home with a well‑matched, calm dog following successful introductions. He has shown interest in wildlife and is currently unknown around cats, so a cat‑free home would be ideal.
Could you be Talen's perfect match?
Talen is a six‑year‑old Dobermann cross Ridgeback with a youthful outlook on life and plenty of energy to match his big personality.
He is an affectionate, enthusiastic, and people‑loving dog with a huge zest for life. Talen loves food, toys, walks, and being involved in whatever his humans are doing. He can be happily boisterous and silly, but he’s also eager to please and enjoys learning, especially when rewarded with food and praise.
Talen is fully housetrained and will let you know when he needs to go out.
He can be left for short periods, with time alone built up gradually. He thrives in a home where he has company for most of the day or a routine filled with plenty of mental and physical stimulation, as he enjoys staying busy.
Talen travels well in the car and hops straight in. While he can be a little excited at first, he settles during the journey and is always keen to get out and explore.
Currently in foster care, Talen has been settling well and showing his affectionate, playful side. His foster carers have been helping him learn to relax and enjoy enrichment, and he has already made lovely progress.
