About This Dog for Adoption

Maevis's ideal home

Maevis is a beautiful 4 year old Rottweiler X Dobermann. She would like to be the only pet in the home and could live with children of Secondary School Age who can appreciate she can be nervous at times. A garden would help Maevis settle into the home and build her confidence but is not essential if a suitable alternative can be provided for her. She was left for short periods of time in her previous home without issue.

Could you be Maevis's perfect match?

Maevis is a sweet girl who likes being around people and enjoys her walks and having an opportunity to sniff and explore. She came into our care due to her playstyle not being a match for the existing dog in the home, she has had dog friends on walks and has been able to socialise with dogs at the centre but can be underconfident and not always read the other dogs body language. For this reason we feel she will settle better in her new home as the only dog but she could have dog friends to socialise with out on walks. Maevis has been very interested in wildlife on walks and so would not be suitable to live with cats or small furries. She is a sweet girl who can be timid but soon comes around and is quick to make friends if you allow her to come to you and a tasty treat is involved!
